Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th 1965. She is an American actress and producer. She is most famous for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in the years 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. After the seventh season Sedgwick won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007), and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was Speech and Family Therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian who was of English descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said she is a part of Passover seders.
